ULD Management: Vietjet Air transitions to Unilode
Jun 23, 2026 at 9:17 AMFor an industrial project, deugro Spain, in collaboration with deugro China and deugro Chartering, transported 2,265 pipes from China to Argentina. The pipes, delivered with diameters of 20”, 24”, 30”, and 36”, have a total volume of over 14,600 cbm and a weight of more than 10,000 t. The transport began at the port of Shanghai and ended at the port of San Antonio Este in Argentina, as reported by the company.
Challenges in transport
Despite the tense situation in the charter market, deugro’s chartering team was able to find a suitable solution through long-standing strategic partnerships with various shipping companies and experience, according to the company. This not only met the requirements of the customers but also provided the necessary flexibility for the project. One of the biggest challenges, according to deugro, was the safe handling, transport, and coordination of the pipes under loading and unloading schedules, as well as high safety and industrial standards. Even the smallest deviations or delays could have jeopardized the entire project timeline.
