Apr 28, 2026 at 8:03 AMA recent visit by Lee Barron, MP for Corby and East Northamptonshire, to the central warehouse of the Europa Worldwide Group (EWG) in Corby, approximately 100 km east of Birmingham in England, once again highlighted the role of high-quality jobs in the growing regional logistics sector. The facility, EWG underlined, serves as an example of investments that can create long-term employment prospects in the country.
The logistics industry is one of the most important employers in the county of Northamptonshire. Large warehouse projects can often create several hundred jobs. Increasingly, not only the quantity but also the quality of positions is coming into focus, added EWG COO Dionne Redpath. Issues such as job security, fair pay and development opportunities are gaining importance.
During his visit Barron spoke to employees who have taken advantage of internal advancement opportunities. The company focuses on training, qualification, and internal development. The facility in Corby covers approximately 66,000 m² and supports various customers with logistics services. Overall, Europa manages more than 1 million m² of warehouse space worldwide.
