This expansion aims to support the growing customer base and partner network in Japan, as stated by the company. The new office is intended to reaffirm OrbitMI’s commitment to the region and responds to the increasing demand.
To lead the activities in Japan, OrbitMI has appointed Kazuo Yamashita (pictured) as Partner for Business Development. In this role, Yamashita will be responsible for business development, partnerships, and market expansion. Yamashita brings over four decades of experience in the maritime and offshore industry. Prior to joining OrbitMI, he served as Chief Executive for Marine & Offshore at Bureau Veritas Japan Co., Ltd. from 2016 to 2025. Before that, he worked for 35 years at Mitsui & Co., Ltd.
