Aug 24, 2021 at 7:41 PMThe shortage of skilled workers remains a defining factor for the future of Germany’s third-largest economic sector. “For many young people, a job in logistics is still not a dream job because they know too little about the variety and career opportunities,” explains Frauke Heistermann, spokesperson for the initiative.
(Berlin) With their guide “Tips for Career Starters – Applying in Logistics, an Economic Sector with a Future,” “The Economic Makers” are specifically targeting school graduates who are now faced with the decision of what they want to do in the future. “Especially because logistics offers so many opportunities to develop further and to get a taste of different areas, it is particularly exciting as an entry point for young people,” Frauke Heistermann further explains. “We want to show them with our guide that they do not have to be afraid of the application processes and provide them with helpful tips on how to best prepare for job interviews and what to pay attention to.”
Free Guide
The guide is the first publication of the initiative specifically aimed at career starters. In addition to the successful thematic brochures from the logistics cosmos, “The Economic Makers” are thereby creating additional visibility for their contributors among a young target group. The document can be downloaded for free directly from the initiative’s website. It is also available for all logisticians to link to, who want to provide their potential candidates with a guide for their applications.
