Este passo abre novas oportunidades para o manuseio de carga adicional e melhora as conex\u00f5es internas para os clientes.<\/p>\n<p>A primeira chamada do servi\u00e7o FP2 reestruturado, que agora faz de Tacoma o primeiro porto em vez de Vancouver, no Canad\u00e1, demonstrou a efici\u00eancia e a confiabilidade do porto da NWSA. Durante a opera\u00e7\u00e3o de fim de semana, a carga do navio <em>ONE Owl<\/em> foi rapidamente carregada na ferrovia no North Intermodal Yard da NWSA. O primeiro trem foi carregado dentro de algumas horas ap\u00f3s a chegada do navio, e todas as mercadorias importadas foram carregadas dentro de 48 horas ap\u00f3s a descarga. Este r\u00e1pido processamento permitiu que as importa\u00e7\u00f5es fossem transportadas a tempo para Chicago, antes que o navio chegasse ao seu segundo porto em Vancouver.<\/p>\n<p>A coordena\u00e7\u00e3o bem-sucedida com o Terminal Husky, bem como com as duas grandes empresas ferrovi\u00e1rias e os sindicatos ILWU, contribuiu para essa eficiente opera\u00e7\u00e3o. O desempenho inicial no manuseio tamb\u00e9m foi forte, destacando a vantagem de velocidade do porto da NWSA.<\/p>\n<p>A adapta\u00e7\u00e3o do servi\u00e7o FP2 posiciona o porto da NWSA como um ponto de acesso antecipado para carga trans-pac\u00edfica nos EUA, aumentando a quantidade de carga adicional que \u00e9 processada no Terminal Husky. Uma descarga antecipada permite mover mais volume atrav\u00e9s das redes de transporte dos EUA, apoiando empregos em toda a cadeia de suprimentos e melhorando os tempos de tr\u00e2nsito para mercados no Meio-Oeste.<\/p>\n<p>Ryan Calkins, presidente da Comiss\u00e3o Portu\u00e1ria de Seattle e co-presidente da NWSA, declarou: \u201cEsta opera\u00e7\u00e3o mostra o que uma primeira chamada de porto totalmente coordenada pode realizar.
