Para o projeto piloto, cerca de 50 cont\u00eaineres com equipamentos de corrida foram transportados por quase 2.000 km de Miami FL (EUA) a Montreal (Canad\u00e1). Aproximadamente dois ter\u00e7os da carga que normalmente seria transportada por caminh\u00e3o nesta rota foram transferidos para os trilhos.<\/p>\n<p>A entrega incluiu nada menos que 46 cont\u00eaineres High-Cube e quatro TEU. Segundo a DHL, isso permitiu a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de emiss\u00f5es sem comprometer o cronograma apertado da s\u00e9rie de corridas. Durante o transporte, os cont\u00eaineres foram monitorados com dispositivos de rastreamento e sensores de vibra\u00e7\u00e3o para garantir a seguran\u00e7a e a chegada pontual.<\/p>\n<p>O projeto faz parte da estrat\u00e9gia conjunta da DHL e da F\u00f3rmula 1 para reduzir as emiss\u00f5es de forma geral. Al\u00e9m do transporte ferrovi\u00e1rio, o prestador de servi\u00e7os log\u00edsticos j\u00e1 utiliza combust\u00edveis de avia\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1veis, caminh\u00f5es movidos a biocombust\u00edvel e planejamento de rotas otimizado.
