De acordo com informa\u00e7\u00f5es da Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA), o n\u00famero de chegadas de navios aumentou em 9% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano anterior, indicando uma recupera\u00e7\u00e3o cont\u00ednua e uma crescente din\u00e2mica operacional. No total, foram registrados 8.630 navios, enquanto no ano anterior foram contabilizadas 7.912 chegadas.<\/p>\n<h3>Crescimento dos volumes de carga<\/h3>\n<p>Esse desenvolvimento faz parte da estrat\u00e9gia &#8222;Reinvent for Growth&#8220;, que visa aumentar a efici\u00eancia operacional e melhorar o desempenho portu\u00e1rio. A TNPA relatou um aumento no volume de carga em seus oito portos comerciais mar\u00edtimos de 4,2%, totalizando cerca de 304 milh\u00f5es de toneladas. Este representa o maior crescimento desde o ano fiscal de 2011\/12. \u00c9 particularmente not\u00e1vel que tr\u00eas das cinco principais categorias de carga apresentaram um crescimento robusto, enquanto os segmentos de carga fracionada e carga l\u00edquida mostram sinais de uma recupera\u00e7\u00e3o gradual.<\/p>\n<p>A ind\u00fastria automobil\u00edstica liderou a recupera\u00e7\u00e3o com um crescimento de dois d\u00edgitos de 13,3%, com o porto de Durban superando suas metas de throughput. Os volumes de cont\u00eaineres tamb\u00e9m cresceram significativamente, aumentando em 7,1%, superando as expectativas or\u00e7ament\u00e1rias anuais em 3,6%. Esse aumento foi impulsionado principalmente por um crescimento de 22% nos volumes de frutas c\u00edtricas. Os volumes de carga seca aumentaram em 4,2%, principalmente devido \u00e0 demanda de exporta\u00e7\u00e3o por min\u00e9rio de cromo, magnetita e mangan\u00eas.<\/p>\n<p>Michelle Phillips, CEO do Transnet Group, declarou: &#8222;O desempenho de crescimento robusto sinaliza um ambiente econ\u00f4mico melhorado no pa\u00eds, incluindo os avan\u00e7os das iniciativas de recupera\u00e7\u00e3o do Transnet e as melhorias nos processos portu\u00e1rios e ferrovi\u00e1rios. Esse crescimento na atividade de navios e nos volumes de carga demonstra que as medidas do Transnet est\u00e3o gerando resultados mensur\u00e1veis.&#8220;<\/p>\n<h3>Projetos de infraestrutura para apoiar o futuro<\/h3>\n<p>A Transnet planeja avan\u00e7ar com projetos de infraestrutura em todo o sistema portu\u00e1rio para apoiar as demandas futuras e melhorar a resili\u00eancia operacional. No porto de Durban, est\u00e3o previstos planos de expans\u00e3o que visam aumentar significativamente a capacidade de movimenta\u00e7\u00e3o de cont\u00eaineres. Al\u00e9m disso, melhorias na empilhamento de cont\u00eaineres e nos espa\u00e7os de estacionamento para caminh\u00f5es no porto da Cidade do Cabo devem aumentar a efici\u00eancia e reduzir congestionamentos.<\/p>\n<p>As desenvolvimentos nos portos sul-africanos indicam uma tend\u00eancia positiva que pode fortalecer tanto a competitividade do pa\u00eds quanto a efici\u00eancia no
