Com apenas 16 incidentes relatados em todo o mundo, este \u00e9 o menor n\u00famero para o primeiro trimestre desde 1991. Este desenvolvimento \u00e9 considerado resultado de uma coopera\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel e medidas de aplica\u00e7\u00e3o, no entanto, a seguran\u00e7a das tripula\u00e7\u00f5es continua a ser uma preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o central.<\/p>\n<h3>Queda dos incidentes e riscos persistentes<\/h3>\n<p>No per\u00edodo de janeiro a mar\u00e7o de 2026, foram registrados 16 incidentes, em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com 45 no primeiro trimestre de 2025 e 33 no mesmo per\u00edodo de 2024. Os incidentes inclu\u00edram 14 abordagens de navios, uma tentativa de sequestro e um ataque bem-sucedido. Na maioria dos casos, os criminosos conseguiram acessar os navios, com 94% dos incidentes registrando abordagens bem-sucedidas. Apesar da queda significativa no n\u00famero total de incidentes, os riscos para as tripula\u00e7\u00f5es n\u00e3o desapareceram.<\/p>\n<p>John W.H. Denton AO, Secret\u00e1rio-Geral do ICC, enfatiza: \u201cA maior parte do com\u00e9rcio mundial ocorre por via mar\u00edtima. A seguran\u00e7a das principais rotas comerciais \u00e9, portanto, n\u00e3o apenas um problema mar\u00edtimo, mas tamb\u00e9m uma quest\u00e3o de confian\u00e7a para a economia global.\u201d Michael Howlett, Diretor do IMB, acrescenta: \u201c\u00c9 positivo ver que os incidentes relatados de pirataria e assalto armado no mar ca\u00edram para os n\u00edveis mais baixos desde 1991. A maioria desses incidentes foi classificada como de baixo n\u00edvel e oportunista, com armas relatadas em seis casos. Em dois incidentes separados, um membro da tripula\u00e7\u00e3o foi sequestrado e outro ferido. Todos os navios afetados, incluindo dois graneleiros com mais de 150.000 DWT, foram abordados com sucesso.<\/p>\n<p>Em contraste, nas Filipinas, houve quatro incidentes, representando um aumento em compara\u00e7\u00e3o com nenhum incidente no mesmo per\u00edodo de 2025. Dois incidentes ocorreram na \u00e1rea de ancoragem de Manila e dois na \u00e1rea de ancoragem de Bauan na Ba\u00eda de Batangas, com um membro da tripula\u00e7\u00e3o sequestrado. O IMB pede uma estreita colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre as autoridades regionais e a ind\u00fastria mar\u00edtima para melhorar a seguran\u00e7a das tripula\u00e7\u00f5es nessas \u00e1guas.<\/p>\n<p>Na \u00e1rea da pirataria somali, foram relatados dois incidentes \u2013 um ataque e um sequestro bem-sucedido.<\/p>\n<h3>Vigil\u00e2ncia no Golfo da Guin\u00e9 e import\u00e2ncia da notifica\u00e7\u00e3o<\/h3>\n<p>No Golfo da Guin\u00e9, foi relatado um roubo na \u00e1rea de ancoragem de Takoradi, em Gana, o que representa um al\u00edvio bem-vindo. Apesar da queda dos incidentes, o IMB enfatiza a necessidade de vigil\u00e2ncia cont\u00ednua e coopera\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel para garantir a seguran\u00e7a dos marinheiros e a prote\u00e7\u00e3o do com\u00e9rcio nessas \u00e1guas.<\/p>\n<p>O IMB destaca novamente a import\u00e2ncia de notifica\u00e7\u00f5es oportunas ao IMB Piracy Reporting Centre (PRC). Relat\u00f3rios r\u00e1pidos permitem rea\u00e7\u00f5es \u00e1geis, ajudam a prevenir novos incidentes e melhoram a seguran\u00e7a para os navios que operam nas proximidades.
