(&#8222;K&#8220; LINE) assinou um acordo para o fornecimento a longo prazo de combust\u00edvel Bio-LNG. Esta medida visa possibilitar o uso de Bio-LNG (metano biol\u00f3gico liquefeito) para a frota de transportadores de autom\u00f3veis movidos a LNG. O acordo pode resultar na redu\u00e7\u00e3o das emiss\u00f5es de gases de efeito estufa da &#8222;K&#8220; LINE em cerca de 60.800 t por ano, conforme informado pela empresa.<\/p>\n<p>O Bio-LNG representa uma alternativa ao g\u00e1s natural liquefeito (LNG) convencional. O combust\u00edvel \u00e9 obtido a partir de res\u00edduos org\u00e2nicos, como excrementos de animais de cria\u00e7\u00e3o e restos de alimentos. A &#8222;K&#8220; Line relata que as emiss\u00f5es de gases de efeito estufa ao longo de todo o ciclo de vida do Bio-LNG, desde a produ\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 o uso, s\u00e3o menores do que as emiss\u00f5es de combust\u00edveis convencionais. Outro benef\u00edcio do Bio-LNG \u00e9 que ele pode ser utilizado em navios movidos a LNG existentes sem modifica\u00e7\u00f5es.<\/p>\n<p>A decis\u00e3o da &#8222;K&#8220; LINE de utilizar Bio-LNG faz parte de uma estrat\u00e9gia mais ampla para reduzir os impactos ambientais do transporte mar\u00edtimo, com o objetivo de alcan\u00e7ar <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">emiss\u00f5es l\u00edquidas de gases de efeito estufa zero at\u00e9 2050<\/span>.
