O objetivo \u00e9 reduzir poluentes atmosf\u00e9ricos provenientes da navega\u00e7\u00e3o e proteger melhor os ecossistemas sens\u00edveis.<\/p>\n<p>As \u00e1reas de controle de emiss\u00f5es (ECAs) visam reduzir as emiss\u00f5es regionais de \u00f3xidos de enxofre, \u00f3xidos de nitrog\u00eanio e material particulado. Com isso, busca-se melhorar a qualidade do ar e diminuir os riscos \u00e0 sa\u00fade. As regulamenta\u00e7\u00f5es entram em vigor imediatamente, embora um per\u00edodo de transi\u00e7\u00e3o para limites de enxofre mais rigorosos se estenda at\u00e9 mar\u00e7o de 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Foco em outras fontes de emiss\u00f5es<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m dos avan\u00e7os em poluentes cl\u00e1ssicos, a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o exige medidas adicionais para a redu\u00e7\u00e3o de part\u00edculas de fuligem. Estas contribuem significativamente para o aquecimento da Arctic e aceleram o derretimento das superf\u00edcies de gelo.<\/p>\n<p>Press\u00e3o crescente por a\u00e7\u00e3o<\/p>\n<p>A navega\u00e7\u00e3o na Arctic est\u00e1 aumentando, o que tamb\u00e9m eleva as emiss\u00f5es. Nesse contexto, a alian\u00e7a v\u00ea a necessidade de mais regulamenta\u00e7\u00f5es em n\u00edvel internacional.<\/p>\n<p>A Organiza\u00e7\u00e3o Mar\u00edtima Internacional (IMO) deve, portanto, considerar medidas adicionais para limitar as emiss\u00f5es de forma mais abrangente e reduzir os impactos ambientais a longo prazo.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cleanarctic.org\" target=\"_blank\"
