A Comiss\u00e3o reconhece, de acordo com a empresa, a import\u00e2ncia estrat\u00e9gica do setor de ferries e visa apoiar a ind\u00fastria mar\u00edtima na sua descarboniza\u00e7\u00e3o. Um ponto central \u00e9 o reinvestimento das receitas do sistema de com\u00e9rcio de emiss\u00f5es da UE (ETS) no desenvolvimento da navega\u00e7\u00e3o, o que est\u00e1 alinhado com as reivindica\u00e7\u00f5es de longa data da Interferry.<\/p>\n<p>A Comiss\u00e3o Europeia estima que a ind\u00fastria mar\u00edtima necessita anualmente entre 2,4 bilh\u00f5es e 8,5 bilh\u00f5es de euros para descarbonizar sua frota. A Interferry expressa satisfa\u00e7\u00e3o pelo fato de a Comiss\u00e3o planejar usar uma parte significativa dos cerca de 10 bilh\u00f5es de euros anuais em receitas do ETS para a introdu\u00e7\u00e3o de tecnologias limpas. Um mecanismo da UE planejado dever\u00e1 fornecer \u00e0s companhias de navega\u00e7\u00e3o certificados ETS para o uso de combust\u00edveis sustent\u00e1veis e sistemas de propuls\u00e3o limpos, vinculados a crit\u00e9rios espec\u00edficos da UE.<\/p>\n<h3>Eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o como chave<\/h3>\n<p>A Interferry destaca que a estrat\u00e9gia apoia as descobertas recentes de organiza\u00e7\u00f5es ambientais que enfatizam o potencial da eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o no setor de ferries. Em particular, a eletrifica\u00e7\u00e3o de portos, para fornecer energia em terra, \u00e9 vista pela Interferry como uma das medidas mais acess\u00edveis para a redu\u00e7\u00e3o imediata de emiss\u00f5es.
