Um novo acordo apoiado pelo governo, recentemente anunciado, visa possibilitar o retorno do transporte regular de carga ferrovi\u00e1ria atrav\u00e9s do Canal da Mancha. Esta iniciativa \u00e9 considerada pelo governo brit\u00e2nico como parte de sua estrat\u00e9gia para promover o transporte ferrovi\u00e1rio de carga, conforme comunicado.<\/p>\n<p>No \u00e2mbito do acordo, a Network Rail, juntamente com sua empresa de desenvolvimento imobili\u00e1rio Platform4, assumir\u00e1 o controle do terreno Barking Eurohub, no leste de Londres. O terreno pertence atualmente \u00e0 empresa Legal &amp; General. Os planos preveem investimentos de cerca de 15 milh\u00f5es de libras para transformar o local em um ponto internacional de log\u00edstica.<\/p>\n<p>A retomada do transporte regular de carga pelo t\u00fanel do canal \u00e9 vista pelo governo como uma medida para reduzir a polui\u00e7\u00e3o ambiental, buracos nas estradas e congestionamentos. Al\u00e9m disso, espera-se que a iniciativa crie novos empregos.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gov.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
