Esta entrega foi necess\u00e1ria, uma vez que a \u00e9poca de colheita dos mirtilos no Peru vai de agosto a novembro, com a principal colheita ocorrendo nos meses de setembro e outubro. O Peru \u00e9 um dos maiores exportadores de mirtilos do mundo, e durante este per\u00edodo, os volumes de exporta\u00e7\u00e3o aumentam significativamente, superando a capacidade dos voos regulares de passageiros, especialmente na rota de Lima para Nova Iorque.<\/p>\n<p>De acordo com Ana Benavente, CEO da ACS S\u00e3o Paulo, \u00e9 crucial para supermercados e distribuidores na costa leste dos EUA receber produtos frescos dentro de 24 a 36 horas ap\u00f3s a colheita. Neste caso, a quantidade de colheita de um fornecedor superou a capacidade esperada durante a alta temporada, o que levou a ACS a processar um pedido de transporte urgente. Em duas semanas, foram transportadas 440 t de mirtilos.<\/p>\n<p>Para o transporte, foram utilizados quatro B747-400F, que podiam transportar 110 t das frutas cada um. Entre os voos, houve alguns dias para otimizar a log\u00edstica. Um membro da equipe da ACS acompanhou o primeiro avi\u00e3o para garantir que todo o processo ocorresse sem problemas.
