No total, foram movimentados 48761 cont\u00eaineres, o que representa um aumento de 33% em compara\u00e7\u00e3o ao ano anterior. Esse aumento \u00e9 atribu\u00eddo ao crescimento no varejo, bem como a uma temporada de soja bem-sucedida para os agricultores da regi\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>O Inland Port serve, entre outras fun\u00e7\u00f5es, como um ponto de conex\u00e3o para grandes varejistas e produtores agr\u00edcolas, ligando a Carolina do Leste aos mercados globais. No ano passado, a SC Ports trabalhou em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com o Departamento de Agricultura da Carolina do Sul e atores privados para facilitar o acesso dos agricultores de soja a novos mercados internacionais, conforme relatado pela empresa.
