Essas novas solu\u00e7\u00f5es para o transporte a\u00e9reo e mar\u00edtimo oferecem aos nossos clientes mais uma oportunidade de descarbonizar toda a sua cadeia de suprimentos&#8221;, disse Marie-Christine Lombard, diretora executiva da GEODIS.<br \/>O combust\u00edvel de avia\u00e7\u00e3o sustent\u00e1vel (Sustainable Aviation Fuel, SAF) e o combust\u00edvel mar\u00edtimo sustent\u00e1vel (Sustainable Marine Fuel, SMF) s\u00e3o produzidos a partir de fontes n\u00e3o f\u00f3sseis, provenientes de res\u00edduos alimentares e agr\u00edcolas (principalmente \u00f3leo de cozinha). O seu uso permite uma enorme redu\u00e7\u00e3o das emiss\u00f5es de CO2 durante todo o seu ciclo, desde a produ\u00e7\u00e3o at\u00e9 o consumo, de pelo menos 80% para a avia\u00e7\u00e3o e 90% para o transporte mar\u00edtimo, al\u00e9m da redu\u00e7\u00e3o de outros poluentes.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Uso de biocombust\u00edveis \u00e9 o meio mais eficaz<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>&#8220;O uso de biocombust\u00edveis \u00e9 atualmente o meio mais eficaz para reduzir significativamente os impactos ambientais das atividades de transporte&#8221;, afirma Philippe de Carn\u00e9, Vice-Presidente Executivo de Desenvolvimento de Neg\u00f3cios, CSR e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>Essas fontes de combust\u00edveis alternativos s\u00e3o classificadas como &#8220;inseticidas&#8221; ou &#8220;redu\u00e7\u00e3o integrada de carbono&#8221;, pois s\u00e3o utilizadas dentro da cadeia de valor dos meios de transporte, ao contr\u00e1rio das fontes de &#8220;compensa\u00e7\u00e3o&#8221;, como pain\u00e9is solares, turbinas e\u00f3licas ou plantio de \u00e1rvores, que n\u00e3o est\u00e3o diretamente envolvidas na opera\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>&#8220;Essas solu\u00e7\u00f5es inseticidas oferecem aos nossos clientes a oportunidade de ter um impacto direto nas emiss\u00f5es globais de CO2 relacionadas \u00e0s suas remessas e de reduzi-las significativamente&#8221;, acrescentou Philippe de Carn\u00e9.
