Deze beslissing is nog onder voorbehoud van goedkeuring door de raad van bestuur van SN Airholding. Maggio zal niet alleen de Belgische luchtvaartmaatschappij leiden, maar ook de functie van &#8222;Executive Board Representative to the European Commission&#8220; op zich nemen. Haar voorgangster, Dorothea von Boxberg, die van maart 2021 tot april 2023 CEO van Lufthansa Cargo was, verlaat het bedrijf (en de luchtvaartsector) op eigen verzoek per 31 augustus 2026. De exacte datum voor Maggio&#8217;s overgang van Rome naar Brussel zal binnenkort worden vastgesteld.<\/p>\n<h3>Ervaring en verantwoordelijkheden<\/h3>\n<p>Dieter Vranckx, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van SN Airholding en Chief Commercial Officer van de Lufthansa Group, sprak positief over de benoeming: &#8222;Lorenza Maggio is een ervaren en internationaal actieve leidinggevende in de luchtvaartsector. Ze kent de industrie en onze groep vanuit verschillende leidinggevende posities in verschillende bedrijven. Met haar bewezen expertise zal ze Brussels Airlines als ge\u00efntegreerde hub-luchtvaartmaatschappij binnen de Lufthansa Group leiden.&#8220; Vranckx bedankte ook Dorothea von Boxberg voor haar langdurige en succesvolle inzet in de Lufthansa Group.<\/p>\n<p>Maggio is sinds januari 2025 lid van de raad van bestuur van ITA Airways. In haar functie als Chief Strategy and Integration Officer is ze verantwoordelijk voor de integratie van ITA Airways in de Lufthansa Group en voor de strategische ontwikkeling van de luchtvaartmaatschappij. Eerder was ze werkzaam als Vice President Sales en verantwoordelijk voor de verkoop van de netwerkmaatschappijen van de Lufthansa Group in Europa (behalve de thuismarkten), het Midden-Oosten en Afrika.
