Het is het grootste onder Franse vlag varende containerschip en behoort tot rederij CMA CGM. Met een capaciteit van 24.212 TEU is het het eerste van tien identieke LNG-aangedreven grote containerschippen die de komende jaren in dienst worden gesteld.<\/p>\n<p>De CMA CGM NOTRE DAME werd op 2 juli 2026 in het Franse Le Havre gedoopt en maakt deel uit van de FAL-3 (French Asia Line), een van de belangrijkste Azi\u00eb-Europa-diensten van de rederij. Deze route verbindt belangrijke havens zoals Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Le Havre, Rotterdam, Hamburg en Tanger Med in een cyclus van ongeveer 105 dagen.<\/p>\n<h3>Belang voor de haven van Hamburg<\/h3>\n<p>De eerste aankomst van de CMA CGM NOTRE DAME wordt door Axel Mattern, bestuurslid van Hafen Hamburg Marketing e.V., gezien als bewijs van de centrale rol van Hamburg in het Azi\u00eb-Europa-verkeer. Mattern benadrukt dat de introductie van deze schipgeneratie ook de ambitie van Hamburg als een vooruitstrevende en duurzame haven weerspiegelt.<\/p>\n<p>Het schip wordt aangedreven door vloeibaar aardgas (LNG) en beschikt over een LNG-tank van 18.600 m\u00b3. Daarnaast is het uitgerust met een aerodynamisch windscherm dat het energieverbruik vermindert, evenals met intelligente energiemanagementsystemen. De CMA CGM NOTRE DAME kan tot 1.600 koelcontainers (reefer) aansluiten en transporteert dankzij een geoptimaliseerde constructie 280 containers meer dan eerdere schepen van deze grootteklasse van de rederij. Een gedigitaliseerde brug maakt realtime-navigatie mogelijk en maakt gebruik van augmented reality-systemen en AI-gestuurde technologie\u00ebn om de route, snelheid en energieverbruik te optimaliseren.<\/p>\n<p>Het schip is geregistreerd onder Franse vlag en ingeschreven in het Franse Internationaal Scheepsregister (RIF). Het is het eerste van tien identieke eenheden die tussen 2026 en 2028 worden geleverd en vernoemd zijn naar belangrijke monumenten van het Franse culturele erfgoed.<\/p>\n<h3>De rol van Hamburg in de wereldwijde containervervoer<\/h3>\n<p>De haven van Hamburg behoort tot de leidende Europese knooppunten in de handel tussen Azi\u00eb en Europa. Momenteel worden 19 reguliere containerlijnservices aangeboden die nauwe verbindingen met de belangrijkste economische centra van Azi\u00eb waarborgen.
