De totale prijs voor de twee schepen bedraagt 52,3 miljoen USD. Deze acquisities vormen volgens een verklaring een vooruitgang voor de groep, aangezien zij hiermee de stap naar grotere bulkcarriers maakt, nadat zij eerder een vloot van Supramaxen heeft ge\u00ebxploiteerd.<\/p>\n<h3>Uitbreiding van de vloot en strategische doelen<\/h3>\n<p>Met de verwerving van de twee Ultramax-schepen en een reeds aangekondigde Supramax bulkcarrier, die in augustus 2026 zal worden geleverd, zal de maritieme transportvloot van LFG uitgroeien tot in totaal 41 eenheden. Deze vloot bestaat uit 17 barges, 17 sleepboten en 7 bulkcarriers. De uitbreiding van de vloot is volgens het bedrijf onderdeel van de strategische doelstelling van LFG om het gebied Marine Transportation uit te breiden. De groep hecht daarbij bijzonder veel waarde aan langlopende charter-assetklassen, die de zichtbaarheid van de resultaten verhogen en de positie als asset-speler in de sector Dry Bulk in Maleisi\u00eb moeten versterken.
