Zoals Yusen Logistics vorige week bekendmaakte, heeft het Japanse bedrijf op 9 juni 2026 in Antwerpen (Belgi\u00eb) zijn nieuwe Europese regionale hoofdkantoor, Yusen Logistics Global Management (Europe) N.V. (YLGM-EUR), geopend. Deze stap moet de langetermijnverbintenis aan de Europese markt bevestigen en vestigt een centrale basis in een van de toonaangevende logistieke centra van Europa.<\/p>\n

Van Amsterdam naar Antwerpen<\/h3>\n

Het nieuwe hoofdkantoor fungeert als centraal aanspreekpunt voor de Europese activiteiten van Yusen Logistics en heeft ongeveer 140 medewerkers in dienst. De verhuizing van het regionale kantoor van Schiphol (Amsterdam) naar Antwerpen weerspiegelt de langetermijnvisie van het bedrijf voor Europa en benadrukt het strategische belang om zich in het hart van een belangrijke logistieke omgeving te positioneren. Antwerpen biedt uitstekende verbindingen via wegen, spoorwegen, binnenwateren en maritieme routes. De nabijheid van de haven van Antwerpen-Brugge, een van de grootste en strategisch belangrijkste havens van Europa, versterkt de rol van de stad als toegangspoort tot de internationale handel.<\/p>\n

De keuze voor Antwerpen heeft ook een bijzondere betekenis voor de moedermaatschappij NYK Group, waartoe Yusen Logistics behoort. Verschillende bedrijven van de NYK Group, waaronder NYK Bulkship (Atlantic) NV en International Car Operators N.V. (ICO), zijn al gevestigd in de haven van Antwerpen. Door de nabijheid van het Europese hoofdkantoor van Yusen Logistics tot deze zusterbedrijven moet de interne samenwerking worden verbeterd en moeten ge\u00efntegreerde logistieke oplossingen worden versterkt. Deze nauwere banden met de aangesloten bedrijven maken een naadlozere serviceverlening voor de klanten mogelijk en benutten de robuuste logistieke infrastructuur van Antwerpen voor een hogere effici\u00ebntie in wereldwijde toeleveringsketens.<\/p>\n

Groei en samenwerking in focus<\/h3>\n

Hiroki Harada, CEO van Yusen Logistics Global Management Co., Ltd., benadrukte tijdens de openingsceremonie het belang van de nieuwe locatie:<\/p>\n

Voor de leiding van Yusen Logistics Europa is het nieuwe hoofdkantoor meer dan alleen een locatieverandering. Het moet de samenwerking tussen landen, functies en bedrijfseenheden bevorderen. Dit uniforme centrum zal het bedrijf helpen beter in te spelen op de behoeften van de klanten en zijn netwerk in Europa verder te versterken.<\/p>\n
