Deze beslissing versterkt de positie van het bedrijf uit Dubai (VAE) op een van de belangrijkste luchtverkeersknooppunten van Europa. De licentie werd verleend in het kader van een openbare aanbesteding van de luchthavenexploitant en stelt dnata in staat om uitgebreide grondafhandelingsdiensten te blijven aanbieden.<\/p>\n<p>Het bedrijf is al meer dan een decennium actief in Amsterdam en biedt een breed scala aan diensten aan, waaronder vracht-, passagiers-, bagage- en platformafhandeling. Momenteel ondersteunt dnata meer dan 20 passagiers- en vrachtluchtvaartmaatschappijen op luchthaven Schiphol. Meer dan 1.200 medewerkers zijn verantwoordelijk voor de afhandeling van ongeveer 500.000 ton vracht en zo&#8217;n 16.000 vluchten per jaar.<\/p>\n<p>Thiemo van Spellen, directeur van dnata Nederland, sprak zich uit over de toekenning van de licentie: &#8222;We zijn trots om onze grondafhandeling op luchthaven Amsterdam-Schiphol voort te zetten. Deze onderscheiding weerspiegelt het vertrouwen dat in onze medewerkers en onze operationele capaciteiten wordt gesteld.&#8220; Hij benadrukte het belang van Schiphol als centraal knooppunt in de Europese luchtvaart en kondigde een nauwe samenwerking met de luchthaven en de luchtvaartmaatschappijen aan om een soepele werking en hoge servicenormen te waarborgen.<\/p>\n<h3>Investeringen in infrastructuur en groei<\/h3>\n<p>Met de vernieuwde licentie is dnata goed gepositioneerd om de bestaande activiteiten op de luchthaven uit te breiden en nieuwe groeimogelijkheden te verkennen. Het bedrijf is van plan om te blijven investeren in zijn infrastructuur en operationele capaciteiten. Dit omvat ook de dnata Cargo City Amsterdam, een van de grootste faciliteiten in zijn soort, die een jaarlijkse capaciteit van 600.000 ton biedt en met een investering van 70 miljoen EUR is gerealiseerd.<\/p>\n<p>Deze investeringen maken deel uit van dnata&#8217;s langetermijnplannen op luchthaven Schiphol, die ook de aanschaf van grondondersteunende apparatuur en het beheer van milieukwesties omvatten. Amsterdam blijft een centrale locatie in het Europese netwerk van dnata, dat lokale expertise combineert met de standaarden van een wereldwijde luchtvaartdienstverlener.<\/p>\n<p>Wereldwijd biedt dnata grondafhandeling, vracht, reizen, catering en retaildiensten aan in 37 landen op zes continenten. In het boekjaar 2025-26 registreerde het bedrijf 888.793 vliegtuigafhandelingen en vervoerde het 3,2 miljoen ton vracht.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dnata.com\/\"
