Deze aankondiging werd gedaan tijdens de Air Cargo China in Shanghai. De nieuwe service aanvult de bestaande DSV-verbinding tussen RFD en de Shanghai Pudong International Airport, die sinds november 2025 bestaat.<\/div>\n<div>De uitbreiding van de dienst onderstreept de rol van de luchthaven als strategisch knooppunt voor het internationale vrachtverkeer tussen Europa, Azi\u00eb en Noord-Amerika. Zack Oakley, Executive Director van RFD, benadrukt dat deze ontwikkeling de kracht van de samenwerking met DSV illustreert en Rockford positioneert als een belangrijk knooppunt voor de internationale handel.<\/div>\n<div>Volgens DSV biedt Rockford een waardevolle infrastructuur voor logistieke dienstverleners, gekenmerkt door een ononderbroken werking 24\/7 en snelle toegang tot markten in Noord-, Midden- en Zuid-Amerika. Stefan Krikken (Foto), Head of Airfreight \u2013 Global bij DSV, benadrukt dat de eerdere operaties in Shanghai de strategische waarde van de luchthaven hebben aangetoond. DSV is van plan de verbinding via Rockford verder uit te breiden, onder andere door de introductie van een nieuwe service die de Incheon International Airport in Zuid-Korea met RFD moet
