Zoals tijdens een persconferentie op 16 juni 2026 werd meegedeeld, moet de nieuw gecre\u00eberde logistieke zone met een investeringsvolume van meer dan 150 miljoen EUR tot 2030 ongeveer 2.000 arbeidsplaatsen genereren. De luchthaven, die sinds de opening in 1946 een centrale rol speelt in de luchtverkeersverbinding van de regio, breidt nu zijn aanbod op het gebied van logistiek en expresverzending uit.<\/p>\n<h3>Strategische betekenis van de logistieke zone<\/h3>\n<p>De A\u00e9ropole Logistique et Fret is ontworpen als een economisch knooppunt dat de bestaande infrastructuur van de luchthaven aanvult. De eerste gebouwen zijn al in 2024 voltooid, waaronder de faciliteiten van DCB Logistic en Chronopost. In de komende jaren zijn er verdere openingen gepland, waaronder die van Stef Transport en XPO, die voor 2026 afgerond moeten zijn. In totaal zullen er tot 2030 100.000 m\u00b2 aan logistieke ruimtes beschikbaar worden gesteld, wat de A\u00e9ropole tot een van de belangrijkste logistieke projecten van de regio maakt.<\/p>\n<p>De creatie van een nieuwe wegverbinding, waarvan de technische studies momenteel worden uitgevoerd, moet de aantrekkelijkheid van de gehele regio verder vergroten. De bouwwerkzaamheden zijn gepland voor het vierde kwartaal van 2027.<\/p>\n<h3>Partnerschappen en investeringen<\/h3>\n<p>Het project wordt ondersteund door een verscheidenheid aan publieke en private partners. Tot de institutionele actoren behoren de Franse luchtvaartautoriteit (DGAC), de prefectuur van de regio Occitanie en het D\u00e9partement H\u00e9rault. Aan de private kant hebben meer dan 15 bedrijven in de logistieke zone ge\u00efnvesteerd, waaronder bekende bedrijven zoals Black Pearl Group en DCB Logistics. Deze partnerschappen zijn cruciaal voor de realisatie van de ambitieuze doelen van de A\u00e9ropole.<\/p>\n<p>De logistieke zone is gericht op het ondersteunen van bestaande bedrijven, maar ook op het aantrekken van nieuwe spelers uit de logistieke sector. Dit moet gebeuren door de creatie van een moderne logistieke en expresverzendhub die voldoet aan de eisen van de laatste kilometer.<\/p>\n<h3>Duurzaamheid in de focus<\/h3>\n<p>Een ander aspect van het project is de ecologische verantwoordelijkheid. In samenwerking met het Conservatoire d&#8217;espaces naturels d&#8217;Occitanie wordt een uitgebreide ecologische compensatie uitgevoerd, die de bescherming en herstel van natuurlijke habitats over een periode van 50 jaar moet waarborgen. Deze initiatief toont de ambitie van de luchthaven om economische ontwikkeling in overeenstemming te brengen met ecologische vereisten.<\/p>\n<p>Al met al vormt de A\u00e9ropole Logistique et Fret een belangrijke stap in de economische ontwikkeling van de regio, door zowel arbeidsplaatsen te cre\u00ebren als de logistieke verbinding te verbeteren.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a
