In 2025 werd in de 27 EU-landen voor een waarde van 42,664 miljard euro aan goederen verhandeld, wat 12,2% van het totale marktvolume van 350,289 miljard euro vertegenwoordigt. Deze cijfers benadrukken de groei van de technologiehandel, die volgens Logista Freight in de afgelopen tien jaar meer dan verdubbeld is en steeds meer wordt be\u00efnvloed door de ontwikkeling van kunstmatige intelligentie.<\/p>\n<h3>Belangrijke handelsstromen en corridors<\/h3>\n<p>Het rapport benadrukt dat Nederland en Duitsland centrale spelers zijn in de Europese technologiehandel. Deze twee landen fungeren zowel als oorsprong- als bestemmingslocaties voor de tien belangrijkste handelsstromen. De grootste handelsstroom verloopt volgens de analyse tussen Nederland en Duitsland en bedraagt 29,018 miljard euro. Op de tweede plaats staat de handel van Nederland naar Frankrijk met een volume van 16,158 miljard euro.<\/p>\n<p>De centrale rol van Nederland in de technologiehandel is volgens Logista Freight vooral te danken aan de haven van Rotterdam, die als toegangspoort voor technologieproducten naar Europa wordt beschouwd. Een groot deel van de containers die smartphones, laptops, chips en andere componenten uit landen zoals China, de VS, Vietnam of Taiwan naar Europa brengen, komt via deze haven de EU binnen. Van daaruit vindt het transport met vrachtwagens naar de andere lidstaten plaats.
