Deze initiatief wordt ondersteund door Hendrik W\u00fcst, minister-president van de deelstaat Noordrijn-Westfalen, en Claudia Elif Stutz, staatssecretaris van het Federaal Ministerie van Verkeer. Onder de ondertekenaars bevinden zich Markus Bangen (duisport), Steffen Bauer (HGK), Michael de Reese (Rhenus Logistics) en Thomas Bogler (Viking).<\/p>\n<h3>Versterking van de waterweg als logistieke pijler<\/h3>\n<p>De alliantie heeft als doel de expertise en het economische gewicht van de toonaangevende spelers in de Duitse binnenhavens en binnenvaart te bundelen. Hiermee moet de waterweg als centrale pijler voor concurrentievermogen, bevoorradingszekerheid en klimaatvriendelijke logistieke ketens worden versterkt. Een belangrijk aandachtspunt is de langdurige waarborging van het strategische voordeel van krachtige waterwegen door middel van duidelijke belangenbehartiging en concrete oplossingsrichtingen voor een robuuste infrastructuur.<\/p>\n<p>Minister-president W\u00fcst benadrukt het belang van de waterwegen en binnenhavens voor de bevoorrading van de bevolking en de logistiek van de economie. Hij onderstreept dat de binnenvaart een centrale rol speelt voor de industri\u00eble toekomst van Noordrijn-Westfalen en dat het potentieel nog niet volledig is benut. W\u00fcst verwelkomt de oprichting van de alliantie als een partnerschap dat gericht is op het verder bevorderen van de binnenvaart.<\/p>\n<p>Staatssecretaris Stutz voegt toe dat de alliantie de relevantie van een krachtig systeem waterweg-schip-haven voor veerkrachtige en klimaatvriendelijke toeleveringsketens, evenals de concurrentiekracht van de industri\u00eble locatie, onderstreept. Ze benadrukt de noodzaak om zowel het behoud van de bestaande waterweginfrastructuur als de transformatie van de binnenvaart in de schijnwerpers te zetten.<\/p>\n<h3>Verbetering van de randvoorwaarden en digitalisering<\/h3>\n<p>De alliantie is van plan de verkeerspolitieke betekenis van de waterweg in het publiek en de politiek te versterken. Een centraal aandachtspunt is de verbetering van de randvoorwaarden voor een betrouwbare infrastructuur. Daarnaast moeten IT-thema&#8217;s meer op de voorgrond komen om door digitalisering de transportketens te optimaliseren en het tekort aan vakbekwaam personeel tegen te gaan. De initiatiefnemers streven er ook naar klimaatvriendelijke transporten op te schalen en de effici\u00ebntie in de verkeersstromen te verhogen.<\/p>\n<p>Vanaf nu zal de alliantie de uitwisseling met verenigingen en organisaties langs de gehele toeleveringsketen intensiveren om door afgestemde standpunten de samenwerking tussen de vervoersmodaliteiten te verbeteren. Bovendien zal de dialoog met industri\u00eble klanten en de samenleving worden gezocht om een breder beeld van meningen te verkrijgen en de wensen van de sector te co\u00f6rdineren.<\/p>\n<p>De alliantie ziet zichzelf niet als concurrent van bestaande verenigingsstructuren, maar als aanvulling. Ze biedt een kader voor uitwisseling en uitvoering en staat open voor samenwerking met verenigingen om gezamenlijk relevante vragen aan te pakken. Daarbij wordt gestreefd naar een uniforme uitstraling tegenover politieke besluitvormers op nationaal en Europees niveau, om de waterweg de zichtbaarheid en prioriteit te geven die overeenkomt met haar strategische betekenis.<\/p>\n<h3>Toekomstperspectieven en participatiemogelijkheden<\/h3>\n<p>Na de oprichting zal de formele uitwerking van de alliantie verder worden bevorderd. De samenwerking staat open voor alle bedrijven die betrokken zijn bij multimodale transportketens, in het bijzonder industrie- en handelsbedrijven, evenals relevante verenigingen en maatschappelijke groepen. Het doel is om een breed verankerde, economiegerichte platform te cre\u00ebren dat op nationaal en Europees niveau invloed uitoefent en actief de toekomst van het systeem waterweg vormgeeft.<\/p>\n<p>De betrokken bedrijven uiten zich over de doelstellingen van de alliantie. Steffen Bauer, CEO van de HGK-groep, benadrukt de noodzaak van veerkrachtige waardeketens en ziet de waterwegen als een onmisbare pijler voor toekomstbestendige logistiek. Markus Bangen, voorzitter van de raad van bestuur van de Duisburger Hafen AG, benadrukt de verbinding tussen de concurrentiekracht van de Duitse economie en de prestaties van de waterwegen. Michael de Reese, CEO van Rhenus Port Logistics, vraagt om politieke prioriteit voor de waterweg om de ontwikkeling ervan te bevorderen.
