Volgens de huidige marktanalyse van de Wirana Shipping Corporation blijft het aanbod van scheepsafbraak op korte termijn beperkt, wat de vraag van de recyclers ondersteunt, ondanks ongunstige staalomstandigheden in enkele belangrijke markten. Een mogelijke opheffing van sancties tegen Iran zou echter extra tonnage op de markt kunnen brengen en de situatie kunnen veranderen.<\/p>\n<p>Momenteel wordt van Wirana verwacht dat de verbeterde vrachtvoorwaarden in verschillende handelssegmenten ertoe zullen leiden dat veel oudere schepen actief blijven in de handel. In het bijzonder is de vraag naar containerschepen toegenomen en tonen de charterprijzen een positieve ontwikkeling. Ook de markt voor vloeibaar gas (LPG) blijft gunstig, terwijl de tankermarkten aan ondersteuning kunnen winnen als er stabilisatie in het Midden-Oosten optreedt.<\/p>\n<h3>Marktontwikkeling en uitdagingen<\/h3>\n<p>De situatie in de droogmassasector toont een gemengd beeld. Terwijl de tarieven voor Capesize-schepen dalen, vertonen andere scheepstypen slechts geringe verbeteringen. Deze verschillende ontwikkelingen wijzen erop dat de instroom van recyclingkandidaten beperkt blijft.
