Deze faciliteit zal worden gepositioneerd als een strategisch knooppunt tussen de oostkust van de Verenigde Arabische Emiraten (VAE) en het vasteland, en ligt op slechts 50 km van de haven van Khorfakkan.<\/p>\n<h3>Integratie in de bestaande infrastructuur<\/h3>\n<p>De Al Dhaid Multi-Modal Trade Corridor zal fungeren als een uitbreiding van de haven van Khorfakkan en is ontworpen als een modern, volledig gedigitaliseerd logistiek systeem. De ontwikkeling wordt ondersteund door de Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority, die transformatieve projecten bevordert ter verbetering van de effici\u00ebntie in de toeleveringsketen. Dit initiatief wordt gezien als een cruciale stap in de logistieke strategie van de VAE en moet de haven van Khorfakkan verbinden met het Etihad Rail-netwerk om het hele Arabische schiereiland te bedienen.<\/p>\n<p>Farid Belbouab, CEO van Gulftainer, sprak zich uit over de nieuwe handelscorridor:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201eDe Al Dhaid Multi-Modal Trade Corridor zal meer zijn dan alleen een ontwikkeling; het is een belangrijke economische motor voor het emiraat Sharjah, de VAE en de Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Door de combinatie van de diepzeetoegang van de haven van Khorfakkan met de vrachtcapaciteit van de Etihad Rail en de ondersteuning van een moderne digitale infrastructuur, zal Gulftainer de nieuwe handelscorridor in het Midden-Oosten vormgeven.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h3>Concurrentievoordelen voor bedrijven<\/h3>\n<p>De nieuwe handelscorridor zal bedrijven en partners aanzienlijke concurrentievoordelen bieden door kosteneffici\u00ebntie en operationele verbeteringen in het binnenlands transport mogelijk te maken. Het knooppunt zal worden ontworpen als een uitgebreide, speciaal ontwikkelde platform, dat onder andere een grote Inland Container Yard (ICY) en een Empty Depot omvat, evenals een hogesnelheids-containerfrachtstation (CFS). Deze faciliteiten moeten een snelle consolidatie van verschillende vrachtsoorten voor transport naar de haven mogelijk maken en integratie met de Etihad Rail voor het hoogcapaciteits-bulktransport naar Saoedi-Arabi\u00eb en Oman bieden.<\/p>\n<p>Belbouab voegde toe:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>\u201eWij bieden wereldwijde fabrikanten en distributeurs een robuust ecosysteem dat onge\u00ebvenaarde wendbaarheid, risicominimaliserende routes en aanzienlijke kosteneffici\u00ebnties biedt. Deze faciliteit zal een plek zijn waar veerkracht op innovatie ontmoet en wereldwijde verzendvolumes aan onze kusten worden gebonden, waardoor duurzame en zeer effici\u00ebnte toeleveringsketens voor de gehele GCC worden gecre\u00eberd.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>De Al Dhaid Multi-Modal Trade Corridor vormt een strategisch publiek-private partnerschap met de Sharjah Ports Authority. Het knooppunt zal worden ontworpen als een \u201eSingle-Window\u201c-afhandelingsomgeving om de regionale handel te versnellen en ervoor te zorgen dat Sharjah aan de top blijft van de wereldwijde logistieke transformatie.
