In samenwerking met Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH zal de Ed. Z\u00fcblin AG, een dochteronderneming van STRABAG, het project uitvoeren in opdracht van het Wasserstra\u00dfen-Neubauamt Aschaffenburg (WNA). Het opdrachtvolume bedraagt ongeveer 380 miljoen EUR, waarbij STRABAG een aandeel van 90% op zich neemt.<\/p>\n<h3>Belangrijke stap voor de waterwegeninfrastructuur<\/h3>\n<p>De sluis Erlangen, die sinds de jaren &#8217;70 in gebruik is, verkeert in een bouwkundige staat die renovatie onmogelijk maakt. Daarom is een nieuwbouw noodzakelijk, die ongeveer 300 m ten noorden van de bestaande sluis zal worden gerealiseerd. De nieuwbouw zal in massieve bouw worden uitgevoerd en moet een breedte van 12,50 m en een lengte van 190 m krijgen. Een centraal doel van het project is het minimaliseren van voegen om de levensduur van de sluis te verhogen.<\/p>\n<p>Het project omvat het gehele sluiscomplex, inclusief inlaatwerk, bovenbouw, sluiskamer, uitlaatwerk en zijwaarts geplaatste spaarbekkens. Deze spaarbekkens zijn zo ontworpen dat bij elke sluisbeweging ongeveer 60% water kan worden bespaard. Bovendien wordt er een leerschot voor het waterbeheer van het Main-Donau-kanaal ingericht, dat het mogelijk maakt om water parallel aan de sluis te leiden.<\/p>\n<h3>Voortdurende werking tijdens de bouwperiode<\/h3>\n<p>De bouwwerkzaamheden zullen tot 2033 duren, waarbij het Main-Donau-kanaal gedurende de gehele bouwperiode ononderbroken in gebruik blijft. Pas na de voltooiing van de nieuwbouw zal de oude sluis buiten gebruik worden gesteld. Dit waarborgt dat de belangrijke verkeersader voor de binnenvaart continu behouden blijft.<\/p>\n<p>J\u00f6rg R\u00f6sler, lid van de raad van bestuur van STRABAG SE voor het segment Noord + West, benadrukt het belang van het project: \u201eDe hernieuwde gunning voor een groot project op het gebied van waterwegen onderstreept onze sterke positie in deze strategisch belangrijke infrastructuursector.\u201c De vervangende nieuwbouw van de sluis Erlangen wordt gezien als een belangrijke bijdrage aan de modernisering van de Europese waterwegen.<\/p>\n<p>Waterwegen spelen een centrale rol in het transport van grote hoeveelheden goederen in Duitsland en Europa. Ze ondersteunen de economie door belangrijke industrie- en handelsregio&#8217;s met elkaar te verbinden en de concurrentiekracht te bevorderen. De investeringsbehoefte voor de versterking van deze infrastructuur is hoog, en met de werkzaamheden aan de sluis Erlangen en, vanaf 2024, de op enkele kilometers afstand gelegen sluis Kriegenbrunn, wordt een belangrijke stap gezet richting de toekomstbestendigheid van de waterweg.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.strabag.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
