Deze nieuwe routes tussen Madrid en Monterrey, evenals tussen Barcelona en Lima, zijn bedoeld om de handelsrelaties tussen Europa en Latijns-Amerika te versterken. De verbinding van Madrid naar Monterrey wordt op 2 juni 2026 in gebruik genomen en is de eerste directe verbinding van IAG Cargo tussen Spanje en Noord-Mexico. Deze route opent nieuwe mogelijkheden voor klanten die goederen tussen Europa en een van de belangrijkste industriecentra van de regio willen vervoeren.<\/p>\n<p>Monterrey is een belangrijke locatie voor de productie-industrie, met name op het gebied van auto, luchtvaart en hightech. De stad speelt een centrale rol in het nearshoring-proces naar Noord-Amerika. De nieuwe verbinding maakt deel uit van het uitgebreide zomer-vluchtplan van IAG Cargo, dat in totaal 275 wekelijkse verbindingen met grootvliegtuigen van de Spaanse hubs naar bestemmingen in Noord-Amerika, Latijns-Amerika en het Caribisch gebied omvat.<\/p>\n<p>Daarnaast wordt op 3 juni 2026 een nieuwe drie keer per week verbinding van Barcelona naar Lima ge\u00efntroduceerd. Deze route moet de handel tussen Spanje en Peru ondersteunen, met name op het gebied van bederfelijke goederen, farmaceutica en andere waardevolle zendingen.<\/p>\n<p>Camilo Garcia Cervera, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer van IAG Cargo, sprak over de nieuwe routes: \u201cLatijns-Amerika blijft een van de belangrijkste regio&#8217;s in het wereldwijde luchtvrachtverkeer, met sterke en diverse handelsstromen die producenten, fabrikanten en consumenten over continenten heen verbinden. Deze nieuwe routes van Madrid en Barcelona breiden het bereik van onze Spaanse hubs uit en versterken de rol van Spanje als een belangrijke toegangspoort voor vracht tussen de regio en Europa. Vooral de nieuwe verbinding Madrid-Monterrey cre\u00ebert voor het eerst een directe verbinding die de handel tussen Europa en Noord-Mexico ondersteunt.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>IAG Cargo biedt via zijn hubs in Londen, Madrid, Dublin en Barcelona uitgebreide wereldwijde verbindingen op zes continenten. Alleen al Londen biedt capaciteit voor meer dan 700 wekelijkse grootvliegtuigen, terwijl Dublin als een belangrijke transatlantische toegangspoort fungeert met ongeveer 100 wekelijkse
