Deze tests maken deel uit van de praktische registratie van de multisysteemlocomotief in Itali\u00eb en zijn gericht op het evalueren van de prestaties in het veeleisende Italiaanse goederenvervoer. Daarnaast worden nieuwe mogelijkheden voor effici\u00ebntere en interoperabele transportoplossingen tussen Duitsland, Oostenrijk en Itali\u00eb, evenals op het Domodossola-traject tussen Zwitserland en Itali\u00eb, onderzocht.<\/p>\n<p>De Brenneras en het Domodossola-traject behoren tot de centrale verbindingen in het Europese goederenvervoer en stellen hoge eisen aan prestaties en flexibiliteit. Met de goedkeuring voor Itali\u00eb breidt de Euro9000 haar toepassingsgebied uit naar een van de belangrijkste goederenvervoer corridors in Europa. RTC is een van de eerste bedrijven die de Euro9000 in een operationele omgeving test. RTC-directeur Martin Ausserdorfer benadrukt de noodzaak van technische ontwikkelingen en ziet in de Euro9000 potentieel voor het verbeteren van de effici\u00ebntie in de treinproductie.<\/p>\n<p>Een centraal doel van de tests is het afhandelen van internationale transporten zonder extra locomotiefwissels. De multisysteemcapaciteit van de Euro9000 maakt inzet in meerdere landen mogelijk, waaronder Duitsland, Oostenrijk, de Benelux-landen en Itali\u00eb. Dit cre\u00ebert de voorwaarden voor interoperabele verkeersconcepten langs de gehele corridor. Ausserdorfer benadrukt dat de Euro9000 in staat moet zijn om zware treinladingen effici\u00ebnt met slechts \u00e9\u00e9n locomotief te vervoeren, wat tot nu toe gedeeltelijk met dubbele tractie werd gerealiseerd.<\/p>\n<h3>Technische prestaties en servicekwaliteit in de focus<\/h3>\n<p>Naast de technische prestaties is ook de rol van een betrouwbare full-service leasepartner van belang. RTC benadrukt het belang van hoge beschikbaarheid, snelle reactietijden en een oplossingsgerichte samenwerking in de dagelijkse operatie. Ausserdorfer legt uit: \u201cHet belangrijkste is de service, de bereikbaarheid en het vermogen om problemen snel en effici\u00ebnt op te lossen.\u201d Elke dag dat een locomotief niet in gebruik is, veroorzaakt kosten.<\/p>\n<p>De Euro9000 is niet alleen ontwikkeld voor internationale transporten, maar ook om de eerste en laatste mijl effici\u00ebnt te dekken. Dit stelt exploitanten in staat om transporten zonder extra rangeer- of diesellocomotieven af te handelen en tegelijkertijd te profiteren van de hoge prestaties op internationale corridors. Onder 3 kV-infrastructuur toont de Euro9000 haar sterke punten door het extra gebruik van de dieselmotor als boost, waardoor meer vermogen beschikbaar is. Willem Goosen, CEO van ELP, legt uit dat dit leidt tot een effici\u00ebntere en betrouwbaardere afhandeling van veeleisende transporten.<\/p>\n<p>Als de testritten succesvol verlopen, ziet RTC potentieel voor het langdurige gebruik van de Euro9000 in het internationale goederenvervoer. In de toekomst zouden ook andere internationale verbindingen en aanvullende Europese markten kunnen worden ontsloten. Met de goedkeuring voor Itali\u00eb en de lopende testritten positioneert ELP zich als aanbieder van een krachtige multisysteemlocomotief voor moderne Europese goederenvervoer corridors. De combinatie van hoge prestaties, multisysteemcapaciteit en een extra dieselmodule maakt flexibele inzet op zowel ge\u00eblektrificeerde als niet-ge\u00eblektrificeerde spoortrajecten mogelijk.<\/p>\n<p>Goosen voegt toe dat ELP zijn driejarige operationele ervaring uit internationale markten nu ook in de Italiaanse markt inbrengt.
