Deze beslissing, die met bijna 100% goedkeuring van de aandeelhouders werd aangenomen, markeert een belangrijke stap in de herstructurering van het bedrijf in het kader van de strategie 2030, die gericht is op duurzame groei, en kost volgens CEO Tobias Meyer ongeveer 37 miljoen EUR.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eIn de afgelopen decennia is ons bedrijf van de voormalige Deutsche Bundespost uitgegroeid tot een wereldwijd toonaangevende logistieke onderneming. Het is hoog tijd om de historisch gegroeide bedrijfsstructuur aan te passen\u201c, aldus Meyer. In de toekomst zal de naam Deutsche Post AG alleen nog worden gebruikt voor de nieuw opgerichte dochteronderneming, die verantwoordelijk is voor de Duitse activiteiten, met name het vervoer van brieven en pakketten.<\/p>\n<p>Met deze stap wordt de beursgenoteerde Deutsche Post AG, die ooit als opvolger van de Bundespost is ontstaan, in haar betekenis verminderd. Slechts ongeveer een vijfde van de omzet komt voort uit de traditionele postactiviteiten, terwijl het merendeel naar wereldwijde gebieden zoals express- en vrachtactiviteiten gaat.
