Vanaf mei 2026 zal een waterstof aangedreven vrachtwagen van het model Scania 40R in Itali\u00eb onder re\u00eble bedrijfsomstandigheden worden getest. Deze praktijkproef maakt deel uit van het Europese ZEFES-project, dat zich richt op de decarbonisatie van het goederenvervoer.<\/p>\n<h3>Waterstof als aandrijftechnologie in de schijnwerpers<\/h3>\n<p>Scania heeft zich de afgelopen jaren steeds meer gericht op de elektrificatie van het weggoederenvervoer, maar streeft ook naar het verkennen van verschillende duurzame aandrijftechnologie\u00ebn. De proef met waterstof aangedreven voertuigen bevindt zich momenteel in een vroege fase, met de nadruk op pilotprojecten in Europa. De samenwerking met Gruber Logistics moet bijdragen aan het positioneren van Itali\u00eb als koploper in de ontwikkeling en test van waterstofoplossingen voor het zware vrachtvervoer.<\/p>\n<p>Het ZEFES-project heeft als doel de introductie van batterij-elektrische voertuigen (BEV) en waterstofbrandstofcelvoertuigen (FCEV) in het Europese goederenvervoer te versnellen. Martin Gruber, CEO van Gruber Logistics, benadrukt het belang van de test: \u201eHet is belangrijk te benadrukken dat dit voertuig, hoewel het nog niet in serieproductie is, dankzij de samenwerking met toonaangevende bedrijven uit de productie-industrie in de praktijk wordt ingezet. Dit is een belangrijke stap om de introductie van nieuwe technologie\u00ebn te versnellen en onmiddellijk te herkennen met welke potenti\u00eble uitdagingen een logistiek bedrijf bij hun inzet te maken kan krijgen.\u201c<\/p>\n<h3>Technische details van het FCEV-voertuig<\/h3>\n<p>Het waterstof aangedreven voertuig is gebaseerd op een driewielige trekker die is ontwikkeld op een BEV-platform. In dit platform zijn waterstoftanks en een brandstofcelsysteem ge\u00efntegreerd. De waterstof wordt niet verbrand, maar omgezet in elektriciteit via de brandstofcel. Het doel van de test is om de operationele prestaties, actieradius en tankmethoden onder re\u00eble omstandigheden te evalueren.<\/p>\n<p>In vergelijking met traditionele BEV biedt een FCEV enkele voordelen. Deze omvatten een grotere actieradius, aangezien het brandstofcelsysteem langere afstanden mogelijk maakt, evenals kortere tanktijden van ongeveer 20 minuten. Bovendien kunnen waterstofdistributie- en tanknetwerken in bepaalde logistieke processen gemakkelijker gedecentraliseerd worden, wat ze geschikt maakt voor complexe toepassingen.<\/p>\n<p>Simone Martinelli, Sales Manager E-Mobility bij Scania Itali\u00eb, legt uit: \u201eGebaseerd op de modulaire aanpak die typisch is voor Scania, hebben we het BEV-platform gebruikt en dit gecombineerd met brandstofceltechnologie. Dit is geen voertuig dat in zijn definitieve configuratie is geoptimaliseerd, maar een overgangsoplossing die ons in staat stelt de ontwikkelingen op het gebied van elektrische aandrijflijnen te benutten en het gedrag van het brandstofcelsysteem onder re\u00eble omstandigheden te evalueren.\u201c<\/p>\n<h3>Geplande evenementen en tests<\/h3>\n<p>Naast de praktijkproeven in het verkeer zijn er ook tanktests en statische en dynamische demonstraties gepland. De resultaten en best practices zullen met de sector worden gedeeld. Het eerste gezamenlijke evenement vindt plaats op de Transpotec 2026, waar Scania en Gruber Logistics op 14 mei om 12:00 uur hun initiatief zullen presenteren. Bezoekers kunnen het voertuig tijdens de beurs in de buitenruimte bekijken.
