Dit blijkt uit een analyse van de Franse kredietverzekeraar Coface (Compagnie fran\u00e7aise d&#8217;assurance pour le commerce ext\u00e9rieur).<\/p>\n<p>Afhankelijk van de route kan tot 40% van de afstand worden bespaard, maar verzekeraars vragen toeslagen van ongeveer 40% op de premies. Redenen hiervoor zijn extreme ijsomstandigheden, afgelegen gebieden en moeilijke inzetomstandigheden. Ter vergelijking, de risico-premie voor de Suezroute lag v\u00f3\u00f3r de aanvallen in de Rode Zee met 0,07% aanzienlijk lager.<\/p>\n<p>De economische haalbaarheid van arctische routes is daarom beperkt. Bijzonder geschikt zijn massagoederen, vooral vloeibare bulk-ladingen, terwijl andere segmenten minder profiteren.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien bemoeilijken milieuaspecten zoals olie-ongelukken, emissies en geluidsoverlast een bredere inzet.
