Deze tonen een daling van het vrachtvolume in vergelijking met het voorgaande jaar, maar een stijging van het aantal passagiers, aldus het bedrijf.<\/p>\n<h3>Daling van het vrachtvolume<\/h3>\n<p>In maart 2026 daalde het vrachtvolume naar 430.000 t, wat een daling van 4,4 % in vergelijking met maart 2025 betekent. De belangrijkste reden voor deze daling zijn volgens het bedrijf de exporten, die met 14,9 % jaar-op-jaar zijn gedaald. Vooral de exporten naar het Midden-Oosten werden hard getroffen, met een daling van 62,1 % als gevolg van regionale spanningen. Ondanks deze daling konden de importen en overslag toenemen. De importen stegen met 6,5 %, terwijl de overslag zelfs met 19,5 % toenam. Deze ontwikkelingen hielpen om de daling van de exporten gedeeltelijk te compenseren. Bovendien vertoonde het vrachtverkeer van en naar Europa groei.<\/p>\n<p>In het eerste kwartaal van 2026 overschreed het passagiersaantal op de HKIA 16,67 miljoen. Het aantal vliegbewegingen bereikte 100.645, wat jaar-op-jaar een stijging van 14,3 % bij de passagiers en 4,9 % bij de vliegbewegingen betekent. Het vrachtvolume steeg in vergelijking met het voorgaande jaar met 3,3 % tot in totaal 1,21 miljoen t.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hongkongairport.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener
