In totaal werd 65,5 miljoen ton goederen omgeslagen. De cijfers tonen aan dat de haven in de eerste twee maanden van het jaar met uitdagingen werd geconfronteerd, maar dat er in maart een herstel zichtbaar was, aldus de haven. De daling in de totale overslag is voornamelijk te wijten aan de druk in het stukgoedverkeer, dat met 4,4 % is gedaald. Vooral scheepscontainers en conventionele stukgoederen zijn volgens de haven zwaar getroffen. In tegenstelling tot dit, bleef het massagoedverkeer met een lichte daling van 0,6 % relatief stabiel, terwijl het RoRo-verkeer toenam.<\/p>\n<p>De oorzaken van de dalende cijfers zijn divers. Volgens de haven zijn ongunstige weersomstandigheden, vakbondsacties en geopolitieke spanningen belangrijke factoren die de volumes hebben be\u00efnvloed. Ondanks deze uitdagingen blijft de Port of Antwerp-Bruges volgens eigen zeggen investeren in projecten die zijn internationale aantrekkingskracht en voortrekkersrol moeten onderstrepen.<\/p>\n<p><a
