De nieuwe inrichting bevindt zich in Chicago, Illinois, en beslaat een oppervlakte van 7.000 vierkante voet. Een bijzonder deel van de faciliteit is de 5.200 vierkante voet grote, temperatuurgecontroleerde uitbreiding, die speciaal is ontworpen voor de opslag en afhandeling van gezondheidsproducten. Deze faciliteit zal fungeren als een belangrijke knooppunt in het transportnetwerk van GEODIS en biedt diensten voor farmaceutische lucht- en zee-exporten en -importen aan, aldus het bedrijf.<\/p>\n<p>De keuze voor de locatie Chicago is volgens GEODIS strategisch, aangezien de stad wordt beschouwd als een belangrijk toegangspunt voor de Amerikaanse markt. De crossdock-faciliteit ligt dicht bij de O&#8217;Hare International Airport, wat het tot een snelknooppunt voor het wereldwijde lucht- en zeefrachtverkeer maakt.
