Met deze overdracht breidt de rederij haar vloot uit met een tiende schip, dat is ontworpen voor het toekomstige gebruik van ammoniak als alternatieve brandstof, zo meldt zij. De Grande Tokyo is het laatste van in totaal zeven zusterschepen die zijn besteld bij de werven SWS (Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Company Limited) en CSTC (China Shipbuilding Trading Company Limited), die beide behoren tot de China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited (CSSC).<\/p>\n<h3>Transportcapaciteiten en inzetmogelijkheden<\/h3>\n<p>De Grande Tokyo is volgens bedrijfsgegevens ontworpen voor het transport van voertuigen, waaronder auto&#8217;s, SUV&#8217;s en bestelwagens, die zowel elektrisch als met traditionele brandstoffen worden aangedreven. Daarnaast kan het schip ook andere soorten rollende lading vervoeren.
