Twee varianten voor schepen met 60.000 &#8211; 65.000 DWT hebben nu een \u00abapproval in principle\u00bb (aip) van ClassNK ontvangen.<\/p>\n<p>De concepten maken gebruik van rotorzeilen van de nieuwste generatie, met een diameter van 3,5 m en een hoogte van 24,5 m. Een uitvoering voorziet in een enkel zeil op het voorschip, de tweede maakt gebruik van een railsysteem voor de installatie van maximaal drie rotorzeilen op het dek. Het doel is om de installatieprocessen te vereenvoudigen en de besparingsmogelijkheden op brandstof te vergroten.<\/p>\n<p>De ontwikkeling is gebaseerd op ervaringen van eerdere projecten, waaronder de eerste installatie op een bulkcarrier in 2018.
