Dit project heeft als doel de emissiearme goederenvervoer op de route te bevorderen. De geplande corridor strekt zich uit over 2.000 km en verbindt Agadir in Zuid-Marokko via de haven van Tanger met Perpignan in Zuid-Frankrijk. Momenteel wordt deze route dagelijks door ongeveer 2.000 zware vrachtwagens bereden, zoals Gotion GPM meldt.<\/p>\n<h3>Elektrische vrachtwagens en infrastructuur<\/h3>\n<p>In het kader van het partnerschap zullen de betrokken bedrijven geleidelijk elektrische vrachtwagens en de noodzakelijke infrastructuur introduceren om de emissies langs de handelsroute te verminderen. Gotion GPM en Chery Heavy Trucks zijn bovendien van plan een joint venture op te richten die zich zal bezighouden met het beheer van elektrische vloot, batterijwisselstations, slimme dispatching en energieopslag. In eerste instantie omvat de E-corridor het gebruik van 100 zware elektrische vrachtwagens, uitgerust met Gotion-batterijsystemen. De verdere uitbreiding van het project zal afhangen van de prestaties en de beschikbaarheid van de infrastructuur, meldt het bedrijf.<\/p>\n<p>Chery Heavy Trucks is gespecialiseerd in de techniek en productie van bedrijfsvoertuigen. Een centraal element van het project is de ontwikkeling van een batterijwisseloplossing, die gericht is op het minimaliseren van stilstand en het verbeteren van de operationele effici\u00ebntie van de zware vrachtwagens.
