(&#8222;K&#8220; LINE) heeft een overeenkomst ondertekend voor de langdurige inkoop van bio-LNG-brandstof. Deze maatregel is gericht op het mogelijk maken van het gebruik van bio-LNG (vloeibaar biomethaan) voor de vloot van LNG-aangedreven autotransporters. De overeenkomst zou ertoe kunnen leiden dat &#8222;K&#8220; LINE zijn broeikasgasemissies met ongeveer 60.800 ton per jaar vermindert, aldus het bedrijf.<\/p>\n<p>Bio-LNG is een alternatief voor traditioneel vloeibaar aardgas (LNG). De brandstof wordt gewonnen uit organisch afval zoals mest van landbouwdieren en voedselresten. &#8222;K&#8220; Line meldt dat de broeikasgasemissies gedurende de gehele levenscyclus van bio-LNG, van productie tot gebruik, lager zijn dan de emissies van traditionele brandstoffen. Een ander voordeel van bio-LNG is dat het in bestaande LNG-aangedreven schepen kan worden gebruikt zonder aanpassingen.<\/p>\n<p>De beslissing van &#8222;K&#8220; LINE om bio-LNG te gebruiken, maakt deel uit van een bredere strategie om de milieueffecten van de scheepvaart te verminderen, met als doel om tegen 2050 <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">netto-nul broeikasgasemissies te bereiken<\/span>. Door deze technologie te implementeren, wil het bedrijf niet alleen zijn eigen emissies verlagen, maar ook bijdragen aan de bevordering van duurzame praktijken in de maritieme industrie.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kline.co.jp\/en\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">www.kline.co.jp<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8220;K&#8221;
