Royal Air Maroc Cargo is begonnen met de renovatie en uitbreiding van zijn temperatuurgecontroleerde opslagruimten op de internationale luchthaven Mohammed V in Casablanca. Na 13 jaar in gebruik wordt de capaciteit van de koelruimten verhoogd naar in totaal vijf. Deze omvatten drie import- en twee exportkamers met een totale oppervlakte van 590 m\u00b2. De nieuwe faciliteiten zijn bedoeld om te voldoen aan de eisen van de regionale industrie voor bederfelijke goederen, zoals verse producten en bloemen, evenals aan de groeiende vraag in de farmaceutische sector.<\/p>\n

Volgens Rita Chraibi, vice-president Cargo bij Royal Air Maroc, spelen drie essenti\u00eble factoren een rol bij de beslissing om te investeren in de koelinstallaties. „Ten eerste moeten temperatuurgecontroleerde faciliteiten elke 15 jaar worden gerenoveerd. Ten tweede zien we al een constante stijging van het vrachtvolume door onze strategische vlootuitbreiding. Ten derde ervaren we een snelle groei in de logistiek voor farmaceutische producten in Marokko en Afrika, veroorzaakt door verbeterde gezondheidsinfrastructuren en een toenemende vraag,“ legt Chraibi uit.<\/p>\n

Hicham Kharbach, hoofd van de Cargo-operaties, voegt toe dat de bestaande faciliteiten sinds de verhuizing in 2012 regelmatig zijn onderhouden en gekalibreerd. Toch is het duidelijk dat Royal Air Maroc Cargo grotere opslagkamers nodig heeft om aan de groeiende eisen te voldoen. Bovendien zal de nieuwe infrastructuur profiteren van zonne-energie, wat de energie-effici\u00ebntie van de koelruimten moet verhogen.<\/p>\n

Details over de nieuwe koelruimteconfiguratie<\/h3>\n

De nieuwe indeling van de koelruimten omvat:<\/p>\n

– Een importkamer met temperaturen van 2\u00b0\u20138\u00b0C en een oppervlakte van 240 m\u00b2
\n– Een importkamer met temperaturen van 15\u00b0\u201325\u00b0C en een oppervlakte van 85 m\u00b2
\n– Een negatieve importkamer voor bevroren goederen met een oppervlakte van 25 m\u00b2
\n– Een exportkamer met temperaturen van 2\u00b0\u20138\u00b0C en een oppervlakte van 140 m\u00b2
\n– Een exportkamer met temperaturen van 15\u00b0\u201325\u00b0C en een oppervlakte van 100 m\u00b2<\/p>\n

Royal Air Maroc Cargo beheert temperatuurgecontroleerde opslagruimten op alle luchthavens in Marokko, inclusief F\u00e8s, Oujda, Rabat, Agadir en Marrakesh. De verse producten van het bedrijf zijn speciaal ontworpen voor temperatuurgevoelige zendingen en krijgen prioriteit in de temperatuurgecontroleerde gebieden en in moderne koelcontainers.<\/p>\n

De vrachtafdeling van Royal Air Maroc biedt een breed scala aan producten en diensten die zijn afgestemd op verschillende industrie\u00ebn en sectoren. Met een voortdurend groeiend internationaal netwerk vliegt het bedrijf naar 82 bestemmingen wereldwijd en breidt het zijn bereik uit door interline-overeenkomsten met andere luchtvaartmaatschappijen en door samenwerkingen met expediteurs.<\/p>\n
