De nieuwe voorschriften, die op 1 april 2026 van kracht moeten worden, zijn gericht op het moderniseren van het regelgevend kader voor de scheepvaart in het land en het afstemmen op de eisen van de wereldwijde scheepvaartindustrie, zoals de <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Bahamas Maritime Authority meedeelt<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Modernisering van het regelgevend kader<\/h3>\n<p>De geactualiseerde voorschriften consolideren verschillende aspecten van de maritieme wetgeving, waaronder de registratie van schepen, tariefstructuren, veiligheidsinspecties, inspecties en normen voor zeevarenden en jachten. Deze maatregelen moeten volgens de autoriteit ervoor zorgen dat de Bahama&#8217;s in overeenstemming zijn met internationale verdragen en best practices en de behoeften van de moderne scheepvaartindustrie weerspiegelen.<\/p>\n<p>Een essentieel element van het nieuwe kader is de invoering van een flexibeler wetgevingsstructuur.
