De CMA CGM Foundation heeft meer dan 800 ton humanitaire hulp van Egypte naar Libanon vervoerd. Deze initiatief vindt plaats in samenwerking met het Tahya Misr Fund en de Egyptische regering om behoeftige bevolkingsgroepen in Libanon te ondersteunen. De gehele logistieke keten voor de levering van de hulpgoederen is door de stichting georganiseerd.<\/p>\n

De in 53 containers vervoerde hulpgoederen omvatten medische voorraden, farmaceutische producten en hygi\u00ebnekits. Het transport begon met de samenstelling van de hulpgoederen onder de auspici\u00ebn van het Tahya Misr Fund, gevolgd door een transport per trein naar de terminal in Alexandri\u00eb. Van daaruit werden de goederen per schip „CMA CGM Sahara“ naar Beiroet verscheept.<\/p>\n

Omvang van de humanitaire hulp<\/h3>\n

De 53 containers bevatten naast medicijnen en farmaceutische producten ook voedsel, non-food artikelen en noodzakelijke uitrustingen en materialen ter ondersteuning van ontheemde personen. Deze solidariteitsactie is gericht op het vergemakkelijken van de levering van essenti\u00eble humanitaire hulpgoederen aan de Libanese autoriteiten en organisaties die ter plaatse actief zijn. Het benadrukt ook de effici\u00ebntie van ge\u00efntegreerde humanitaire logistiek.<\/p>\n

Tanya Saad\u00e9 Zeenny, voorzitter van de CMA CGM Foundation, verklaarde: \u201eMet deze operatie stelt de stichting de maritieme en logistieke expertise van de CMA CGM Group ten dienste van Egypte, in solidariteit met Libanon. Dit weerspiegelt de essentie van de CMA CGM Foundation: het ondersteunen van degenen die actief zijn in humanitaire hulp.\u201c<\/p>\n

De huidige levering volgt op een eerdere humanitaire actie waarbij een vliegtuig van de CMA CGM Air Cargo-vloot werd gemobiliseerd om 60 ton dringende humanitaire hulp van Frankrijk naar Libanon te vervoeren. De CMA CGM Foundation bevestigt haar inzet voor de ondersteuning van humanitaire missies in Libanon.<\/p>\n
