Volgens de in 2025 verzamelde informatie bereiken bloemen die via de luchthaven MST in Europa aankomen, hun bestemming gemiddeld in de helft van de tijd in vergelijking met vergelijkbare zendingen die via andere Europese luchthavens worden vervoerd.<\/p>\n<p>De gemiddelde verwerkingstijd voor bloemenlading op Maastricht Aachen Airport bedraagt ongeveer 3 uur, terwijl andere luchthavens tussen de 3,5 en 6,5 uur nodig hebben. Deze effici\u00ebntie is het resultaat van investeringen in moderne bewakingstechnologie\u00ebn die in 2025 zijn ge\u00efmplementeerd om de kwaliteit en houdbaarheid van gevoelige lading te verbeteren.<\/p>\n<p>De verzamelde gegevens zijn gebaseerd op ongeveer 5.000 temperatuurmetingen en tonen aan dat MST tot de effici\u00ebntste luchthavens in Europa behoort voor de afhandeling van bederfelijke en gevoelige goederen. Dean Boljuncic, hoofd commerci\u00eble ontwikkeling van Maastricht Aachen Airport, benadrukt: &#8222;De verwerkingstijd is een cruciale factor voor de kwaliteit en houdbaarheid van bloemen. Elke minuut dat bloemen aan hogere temperaturen worden blootgesteld, verkort hun levensduur.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>Zelfs tijdens piekuren bereikt de op \u00e9\u00e9n na grootste vrachtluchthaven van Nederland stabiele en korte verwerkingstijden van twee tot vier uur. Ter vergelijking, de langste verwerkingstijden op andere Europese vrachtluchthavens liggen tussen de zeven en tien uur. Dankzij de snelle afhandeling en de strategische ligging met directe toegang tot de snelweg, bereikt 80% van de bloemenleveringen via MST de veiling in Aalsmeer nog dezelfde dag voor sluiting.<\/p>\n<p>Deze effici\u00ebntie leidt tot een verkorte logistieke keten, die afval vermindert en de productkwaliteit voor de eindconsument verbetert. Boljuncic voegt toe: &#8222;Deze resultaten tonen aan dat we niet alleen snel zijn, maar vooral opmerkelijk consistent. Bij bederfelijke goederen zoals bloemen is tijd letterlijk geld. Met deze inzichten over de gehele keten kunnen we afval verminderen, de kwaliteit verhogen en onze klanten een betrouwbaar transportnetwerk aanbieden.&#8220;<\/p>\n<p>De geavanceerde bewaking stelt MST in staat om de omstandigheden in realtime te volgen, de afhandeling te optimaliseren en ondersteunt de strategie van de luchthaven om zich te onderscheiden in de afhandeling van tijdkritische lading. Met voldoende capaciteit, directe snelwegtoegang en minimale wachttijden blijft MST een aantrekkelijke alternatieve keuze voor grote vrachtcentra en blijkt het een van de meest betrouwbare gateways in
