Niedersachsen Ports (NPorts) plant in 2026 omvangrijke investeringen in de ontwikkeling van de Niedersaksische zeehavens. In totaal is er 153 miljoen euro gereserveerd voor de haveninfrastructuur, aangevuld met 69 miljoen euro voor onderhoud en reparatie van bestaande installaties. Deze maatregelen zijn gericht op het waarborgen van de prestaties van de havens op lange termijn en het onderstrepen van hun strategische betekenis voor de economie, energievoorziening en veiligheid, zoals NPorts meldt.<\/p>\n

Uitbreiding van de haveninfrastructuur<\/h3>\n

In Emden wordt een grote scheepvaarthaven aangelegd om tegemoet te komen aan de toenemende overslag. Cuxhaven daarentegen krijgt een uitgebreide infrastructuur voor offshore-windenergie, wat de rol van de havens in de context van groei en de energietransitie moet verduidelijken. Financi\u00eble ondersteuning<\/h3>\n

Aanvullende middelen van 375 miljoen euro maken het mogelijk om 21 projecten vooruit te helpen. Deze komen uit de landbegroting en uit het aandeel van het land in het speciale fonds voor infrastructuur en klimaatneutraliteit. Deze financi\u00eble middelen moeten maatregelen versnellen die anders pas op een later tijdstip gerealiseerd zouden worden. Een nieuw project dat NPorts met toekomstige middelen kan plannen, is een multifunctionele terminal (MPT) in Wilhelmshaven, die moet aansluiten op de bestaande JadeWeserPort.<\/p>\n
