Op het nieuwbouw-tanker \u00abPacific Sunstone\u00bb zijn in Jiangsu (China) drie eenheden van 22 m hoog gemonteerd. Na de retrofit van de \u00abPacific Sentinel\u00bb is dit de eerste integratie in een nieuwbouwschip.<\/p>\n<p>De technologie wordt in het tankersegment als goed toepasbaar beschouwd, omdat deze zonder Atex-goedkeuring kan functioneren en weinig ruimte vereist. E-Sails genereren in vergelijking met stijve zeilen aanzienlijk meer lift, zonder de doorvaarthoogte te be\u00efnvloeden.<\/p>\n<p>De installatie is in het bouwproces ge\u00efntegreerd, waardoor structurele aanpassingen en vertragingen zijn vermeden. Ervaringen van het vorige schip tonen besparingen in energieverbruik en brandstofverbruik, evenals extra effecten bij gunstige windomstandigheden.<\/p>\n<p>De systemen moeten de hoofdaandrijving
