Deze goedkeuring vormt een belangrijke stap in de regionale vrachtluchtvaart. Het betrokken vliegtuig, een ATR 72-600 met MSN 1239, behoort tot ACIA Aero Leasing en is het eerste van zijn soort dat van een passagiers- naar een vrachtconfiguratie is omgebouwd. De conversie is uitgevoerd door Empire Aerospace in Idaho, een langdurige partner van IPR Conversion, die uitgebreide ervaring heeft met ATR-vliegtuigen.<\/p>\n<p>IPR Conversion bedankt ACIA Aero Leasing uitdrukkelijk voor het vertrouwen en de samenwerking die het mogelijk hebben gemaakt om dit baanbrekende programma te realiseren. Met deze goedkeuring is IPR Conversion het enige bedrijf ter wereld dat een gecertificeerd Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) bezit voor de conversie van passagiers- naar vrachtvliegtuigen voor de ATR 72-600.<\/p>\n<p>Het doel van het conversieprogramma was om de technologische voordelen van de ATR 72-600 te behouden, met name de moderne glazen cockpit. Operators waarderen de -600-serie om zijn geavanceerde avionica, operationele effici\u00ebntie en vlootcompatibiliteit. De ingenieursfilosofie van IPR Conversion was om geen compromissen te sluiten op de eigenschappen die het vliegtuig kenmerken. Het programma is in nauwe samenwerking met PMV Engineering en in sterke co\u00f6rdinatie met ATR, de oorspronkelijke fabrikant van het vliegtuig, ontwikkeld.<\/p>\n<h3>Marktkansen en toekomstperspectief<\/h3>\n<p>De ATR 72-600 wordt sinds 2011 continu geproduceerd, en de eerste modellen bereiken nu een leeftijd van ongeveer 15 jaar, wat een natuurlijk moment voor conversie vertegenwoordigt. De -600-serie wordt nog steeds geproduceerd, en ATR heeft al meer -600-vliegtuigen geleverd dan -500-modellen, wat de toekomstige beschikbaarheid van ombouwbare vliegtuigen aanzienlijk vergroot. Dit biedt op lange termijn kansen voor operators die jongere en effici\u00ebntere vrachtvliegtuigen zoeken.<\/p>\n<p>Bovendien hebben de meeste luchtvaartmaatschappijen die zowel passagiers- als vrachtactiviteiten uitvoeren, hun passagiersvloten al naar de -600-norm omgebouwd. Met deze nieuwe gecertificeerde oplossing kunnen operators nu hun vloten harmoniseren en stroomlijnen rond \u00e9\u00e9n vliegtuigtype, wat de complexiteit van training vermindert, het onderhoud optimaliseert en de operationele effici\u00ebntie verbetert.<\/p>\n<p>De validatie door de FAA is al aan de gang, wat de volgende stap vormt voor de uitbreiding van de wereldwijde marktoegang. Deze goedkeuring is meer dan alleen een certificering; het positioneert IPR Conversion aan de voorhoede van de volgende generatie regionale vrachtoplossingen en stelt operators in staat om over te stappen op jongere vliegtuigen, de waarde van hun activa te waarborgen en zich voor te bereiden op de toekomst van regionale vrachtlogistiek.
