Priority Freight heeft Graham Little benoemd tot Director of Route and Business Development. Met deze beslissing wil het Britse bedrijf zijn strategie op het gebied van tijdkritische vracht versterken en zijn concurrentiepositie in deze sector verbeteren.<\/p>\n

De toeleveringsketens in de auto-industrie staan momenteel onder aanzienlijke structurele druk. Productielocaties veranderen, programma’s voor elektrificatie worden herzien, en de netwerken van toeleveranciers consolideren zich als gevolg van kosten-, politieke en capaciteitsbeperkingen. De voorraden blijven in de toeleveringsketens van de OEM’s en Tier-leveranciers opzettelijk laag, wat betekent dat er bij verstoringen weinig speelruimte is en reactietijden in uren in plaats van dagen worden gemeten.<\/p>\n

In deze context zijn de positionering van routes en vooruitziende branche-informatie geen louter tactische overwegingen meer, maar cruciale concurrentiefactoren.<\/p>\n

Graham Little brengt meer dan 20 jaar ervaring in leidinggevende posities in de tijdkritische logistiek met zich mee. Voorheen was hij Managing Director bij Evolution Time Critical, waar hij complexe toeleveringsketens in de auto- en geavanceerde productie-industrie in Europa en Noord-Amerika ondersteunde.<\/p>\n

Neal Williams, CEO van Priority Freight, sprak zich uit over deze ontwikkeling: „De auto-industrie past zich aan in plaats van te groeien. De inkooppatronen veranderen, de productie is onregelmatig en de risico’s zijn niet afgenomen. Onze verantwoordelijkheid is ervoor te zorgen dat Priority Freight daar is gepositioneerd waar onze klanten actief zijn en waar de kwetsbaarheid het grootst is. Grahams branchekennis en concurrentie-ervaring versterken onze capaciteit om ons in deze markten intelligent te positioneren.“<\/p>\n

In zijn nieuwe rol zal Little zich richten op het versterken van de aanwezigheid van Priority Freight in belangrijke geografische regio’s waar de klanten van het bedrijf actief zijn, en het verder ontwikkelen van de capaciteiten in overeenstemming met de aanhoudende productiebehoefte. De strategie is gebaseerd op een gedisciplineerde routepositionering, de afstemming op toeleveranciers en een diepgaande branchekennis, in plaats van alleen gericht te zijn op volumevergroting.<\/p>\n
