TLF Overseas, de Franse organisatie voor transport en logistiek, analyseert de situatie en de gevolgen voor internationale transportbedrijven.<\/p>\n<p>Op 28 februari 2026 werd de Iraanse opperste leider Ali Khamenei gedood tijdens de militaire acties. In reactie daarop kondigde Iran de sluiting van de strategisch belangrijke Straat van Hormuz aan en voerde aanvallen uit op verschillende landen in de regio. Deze escalatie heeft invloed op twee van de belangrijkste handelsroutes ter wereld: het luchtruim boven de Golf en de scheepvaart in de Rode Zee en de Hormuzstraat.<\/p>\n<h3>Gevolgen voor het luchtverkeer<\/h3>\n<p>De sluitingen van luchtruimen in Syri\u00eb, Irak, Koeweit, Iran, Isra\u00ebl en de VAE leidden binnen 24 uur tot 19.000 vluchtvertragingen en meer dan 2.100 vluchtannuleringen. Dit komt overeen met een daling van 18% van de wereldwijde vrachtcapaciteit in de luchtvaart. Grote luchtvaartmaatschappijen hebben hun verbindingen naar de regio stopgezet. De belangrijke knooppunten in Dubai, Doha en Abu Dhabi, die cruciaal zijn voor de verbindingen tussen Europa, de Indische Oceaan en Azi\u00eb, zijn getroffen. De mogelijkheden voor omleidingen zijn momenteel sterk beperkt.<\/p>\n<p>Philippe de Cr\u00e9cy, voorzitter van TLF Overseas, sprak zich uit over de gevolgen: \u201eDe gelijktijdige stillegging van de drie belangrijkste knooppunten in het Midden-Oosten leidt tot een verstoring van de luchtvrachtstromen, waarvan de omvang we nog niet volledig kunnen inschatten. De onzekerheid over de duur en de verloop van het conflict bemoeilijkt de planning van de transittijden, het capaciteitsbeheer en de voorspelling van opstoppingen in havens en luchthavens.\u201c<\/p>\n<h3>Hernieuwing in het maritieme verkeer<\/h3>\n<p>De Straat van Hormuz, waarlangs 20% van de wereldwijde olie- en LNG-verkeer stroomt, wordt door Iran gesloten. De toonaangevende rederijen, waaronder CMA-CGM, Maersk, MSC en Hapag-Lloyd, hebben hun aanlopen in de regio opgeschort en hun schepen naar veilige gebieden omgeleid. Om de extra bedrijfskosten, verzekeringen en brandstofprijzen te dekken, zijn overbelastingskosten van 2.000 tot 4.000 USD per container aangekondigd. Op korte termijn zijn opstoppingen in Aziatische havens te verwachten.<\/p>\n<p>Anne-Sophie Fribourg (foto), vicevoorzitter van TLF Overseas, verklaarde: \u201eEen sluiting van de Hormuzstraat zou onmiddellijke structurele gevolgen hebben voor de wereldwijde maritieme toeleveringsketens. De belangrijkste containerknooppunten in de Perzische Golf \u2013 Jebel Ali, Port Khalifa, Port Hamad en Port Shuwaikh \u2013 zijn kritische overslagpunten voor de handel tussen het Midden-Oosten, Azi\u00eb en Europa. Hun stillegging zou leiden tot een massale omleiding van regionale vracht en in Aziatische of Europese havens tot een kettingreactie van opstoppingen.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>TLF Overseas volgt de
