In een gezamenlijke verklaring benadrukken de organisaties hun bezorgdheid om het welzijn van de zeelieden en burgers die door de recente aanvallen zijn getroffen. De tragische incidenten en het verlies van mensenlevens hebben de verenigingen alarm geslagen, en hun gedachten zijn bij de families van de betrokkenen.<\/p>\n<h3>Eis voor veiligheid voor zeelieden<\/h3>\n<p>De verenigingen roepen alle betrokkenen op om alle noodzakelijke maatregelen te nemen om de veiligheid van de zeelieden te waarborgen. Zij bevinden zich in een onzekere situatie, zonder dat zij daar zelf verantwoordelijk voor zijn. De situatie in de regio wordt als dynamisch en onvoorspelbaar beschreven, wat de noodzaak onderstreept dat de gehele sector zich baseert op betrouwbare informatie uit vertrouwde bronnen.<\/p>\n<p>De organisaties adviseren alle schepen die in de regio opereren om uitgebreide risicoanalyses uit te voeren en waakzaam te zijn volgens de nieuwste richtlijnen voor maritieme veiligheid (Best Management Practices, BMP). De scheepseigenaren dienen de updates van offici\u00eble overheidsinstanties te blijven volgen en dienovereenkomstig te handelen.<\/p>\n<p>De ICS vertegenwoordigt als belangrijkste wereldwijde handelsvereniging de belangen van reders en operators in de handelsvaart en vertegenwoordigt meer dan 80% van de wereldwijde handelsvloot. De ECSA daarentegen verenigt 21 nationale scheepseigenarenverenigingen uit de EU en Noorwegen en controleert 35% van de wereldwijde handelsvloot. De ASA is een vrijwillige organisatie die de belangen van scheepseigenarenverenigingen uit ASEAN-landen, China, Hongkong, Japan en Korea vertegenwoordigt en ongeveer 50% van de wereldwijde handelsvloot representeert.<\/p>\n<p>De gezamenlijke verklaring benadrukt de urgentie om de veiligheid op zee te waarborgen en de zeelieden in deze kritieke situatie te
