De organisaties eisen met name dat het budget van de Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) wordt verhoogd tot minstens 100 miljard euro, zoals de <span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">European Sea Ports Organisation (ESPO) meldt<\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3>Actie vereist in de verkeerssector<\/h3>\n<p>De verkeersorganisaties benadrukken de noodzaak van een robuust Europees verkeersnetwerk om te voldoen aan de strategische doelstellingen van de EU. Een moderne en effici\u00ebnte verkeersinfrastructuur is cruciaal om de veerkracht van Europa te vergroten, de militaire paraatheid te verbeteren en de industri\u00eble concurrentiekracht te waarborgen. Bovendien benadrukt EPSO het belang van soevereiniteit in de toeleveringsketen.<\/p>\n<p>Ondanks deze eisen wordt de sector volgens EPSO geconfronteerd met aanzienlijke onderfinancierings- en financieringstekorten. De organisaties waarschuwen dat zonder adequate ondersteuning de doelstellingen niet kunnen worden bereikt.
